NAR is a monopolistic venture that uses control of access to MLS information as a tool to force real estate practitioners to join and pay excessive dues to the local and state NAR member organizations and national organization (NAR). The same practitioners, realizing the value of MLS, are ususally willing to pay for MLS services, but they are denigned that option unless they join and pay membership dues to the local, state, and NAR. Real estate practitioners are not even allowed to join NAR unless they join a local board of realtors that is a NAR member. </body> </HTML>
