Brokers are the ones who shamelssly compete. Not agents. They "hire" new agents in order to gain a percentage of the market from competing brokers. All the while not being honest with new hires on the fierce competitiveness of the job and that they will get a bill from the office before they ever see a paycheck. The broker doesn't care because as long as he gets one escrow a year from each of his say, 12 agents he or she is happy. The broker doesn't care that the agent is starving with his one escrow. 2. TRUTH IN LENDING/ TRUTH IN HIRING Agents are not given the full truth about the competitiveness of the job. If they were they would never get into the business. There needs to be a truth in hiring law. Too many people are attracted to the business because of the money and not for the right reasons. Love of serving the public and the industry itself. These people stay for 30 years, which is what I intend to do. Ride out the low markets and put my money away for those times. I wouldn't say new hires are "lied" to but they are certainly not told the truth of what there ods of success will be. Too many people come and go into this business on false hopes. They leave with less money than they had going into it. It's wrong! There needs to be a "truth in hiring law". </body> </HTML>
