The fact that you seem willing to be complicit in the alcohol industry's ongoing campaign to normalize abusive alcohol use raises strong doubt as to your commitment to protect the American people from dishonest and harmful practices. Did you know that corporate alcohol is also lobbying the FDA to agree that four drinks an episode is safe or "social" drinking" The current standards say this is abusive. Do you see that these attempts to "normalize" the intake of dangerous amounts of alcohol are actually a plan to lull alcoholics and habitual alcohol abusers into continuing to consume the majority of alcohol sold" In agreeing to this, you will be encouraging sick people to get sicker. At least government sponsored gambling requires letting addicts know that there is treatment for their addiction. How long did it take for warning labels to be required" Too long and too late for thousands of deceased alcoholics. Lest you believe these thoughts to be paranoid rantings, I refer you to the work of Dr. Jeanne Kilbourne, a nationally recognized media analyst. Before you sign onto this cynical travesty, take one half hour to view her lecture "Calling the Shots". Then do the right thing.
