My fear with this regulation, or lack thereof, will result in improper dosing of vital medications for pets. Also, this creates friction between the client and the hospital. Being that many chronic medications need monitoring and clients need to bring thier pets in for blood work and examinations which we require to legally prescribe medications, yet the online pharmacies are more than willing to sell without a valid Dr-Client-Patient relationship and make the Veterinarians out to be money-grubbing bad guys, when we are trying to ensure the health of their pets.
