Of course the big pharmacy interests are going to present this as a consumer protection movement, but we all know that's a big sham. Pharmacy sales are an important source of revenue for veterinary clinics and with the loss of that revenue, we will be forced to make up for it by hiking up the prices in the areas that only we can provide. The end result, consumers pay more. The saddest part is that it also means people will be able to afford less care for their pets. Only the big companies win in this scenario and the consumer and their pets ultimately lose out.
