As a veterinarian of 15 years and a private practice owner I realize that my comments may be taken as self-serving. I have discussed this matter with more than a dozen different local pharmacist and countless veterinarians and we all agree that human pharmacist are in no way prepared to dispense and council clients on animal prescription medicine. They are highly educated but not in the area of veterinary medicine. I also feel that this bill will in no way save the consumer money. Would it be out of the question to suspect that this will set a precedent that could eventually lead to pharmacists administering vaccines?
