To whom it may concern, There is no legitimate reason to require veterinarians to write a portable prescription every time a medication is prescribed by a veterinarian. If a client chooses to allow a veterinarian to dispense the medication prescribed, then to do so would be an onerous regulatory burden to veterinarians. Veterinarians already are required by ethics and law to provide a portable prescription should a client request one. We veterinarians are already over-burdened with regulatory busy-work that makes keeping our small businesses in operation difficult. To require writing a portable prescription will not increase the consumers'protection, but will make it more difficult for veterinarians to stay in business. Sincerely, William W. Snow, D.V.M.
