Very few if any of these companies (online pharmacies and big box retail chains) who want to profit by selling veterinary drugs have pharmacists on staff with any Formal training in veterinary drugs and the patients (animal) they are intended to be used in. I know of no human pharmacy that would be allowed to dispense drugs To humans without a licensed pharmacist on staff. This should be the same for Veterinary drugs. If a pharmacy wants to sell Veterinary only drugs they should have properly trained And licensed staff to do so. I also completely agree with the concerns expressed in the letter to this hearing submitted by the AVMA ( American Veterinary Medical Association). Sincerely, Brian D Ghere, DVM
