In response to H.R. 1405, Fairness to pet Owners act of2011
This is an example of big business and government putting the screws to small businesses. There is no need for such an act and would put undue regulatory and workload on a small business.
Veterinary practices already write prescriptions and grant requests by online pharmacies when appropriate. To require a veterinarian to inform their client in writing that they may get their pets prescription filled elsewhere is nothing more than bureaucratic paper pushing. The online pharmacies have made there presence known very clear with their television adds.
I urge you to oppose H.R. 1405 if it comes up for a vote and if possible do whatever is possible to see that it does not even reach that level.
Will the Government also require the human medical profession to do the same?
