I am strongly opposed to HR1406. Clients already have the flexibility to fill a prescription at my practice, or request a written prescription to be filled elsewhere. The overwhelming majority request the convenience of having it filled onsite. This legislation would require that I write prescriptions for everyone. Since the majority of patients do not want it filled elsewhere, this would be a tremendous amount of unnecessary paperwork, which would ultimately translate into increased costs.
