My clients already have the flexibility to fill a prescription at my veterinary clinic or an off-site pharmacy of their choice. If I wirte a prescrpition and fill it at my hospital the client could take the written prescription and have it filled again elsewhere. This could result in abuse and substandard patient treatment. The public will not be better served by this proposal. It will create papaerwork for the sake of paperwork and inflate consumer prices without any increase in value. I regularly provide the best professional guidance and education to pet owners when dispensing prescription products.
