The proposed requirement for veterinarians to write prescriptions for every medication prescribed is cumbersome and time-consuming and will add to the cost of the office visit for each client as vets take the time to explain the options, write out the prescription, and then charge for this added time. Clients are wise enough these days to know their options: Internet pharmacies, local pharmacies, or their own vets. For many, this requirement will serve only to increase their office fee as they will still opt to purchase from their vets. This bill is so obviously a scam to have veterinarians do the marketing for Walmart.
