First of all in our state,(WI)we are already required to give a written prescription if the client asks. Secondly human pharmacists are not versed in animal drugs and how each species reacts to a drug or drug interactions. Lastly it will add cost to regular services to make up the added cost of writing presciptions for everything and makes it harder to keep track of what an owner is giving to their pet. This bill is not in the best interest of the consumer, the pet or the veterinarin. The only one benefiting is Wal-Mart as they make the consumer wait while the RX is made up expecting them to go shopping in the store.
