Legislators need to do three things. #1 -- Encourage school systems to teach young people to recognize and protect themselves against false advertising and to handle their personal finances responsibly. #2 -- Tighten and enforce legislation protecting the public from false adverstising and deceptive financial practices. #3 Insist that "fine print" be as large as the main body type in any advertising.
