A serious problem facing consumers in the auto industry is the default on extended service contracts. This issue is becoming more prominent as ESCs are being offered directly to the public. Reneging on ESCs is easy and force consumers to hire attorneys. In most cases they are reluctant to do so because of the expenses involved.
Probably the most serious problem has to do with consumers signing arbitration agreements without understanding or even knowing that they are doing so.
