I bought a car from Kermet Kirkpatrick on July 18, 2011, he swore it was in excellent condition. As of the 3rd of Aug I have around $1,000.00 in repairs, camshaft, oil pump, idle air control sensor, we did the business transaction at Kia Freedom dealership in Bridgeport, WV where he works as a car detailer, it was their notary who notarized all the paper work. I have since been in contact with 2 other woman who have been ripped off by this guy. I'm wondering if Kia is giving him the trade ins to sell at his house, he always replaces what he sells with a different car. They leave the titles in the owners name and sale them this way, they don't have to title them or pay tax's, I do not know this for sure, but bet if you look you would find that these titled cars use to belong to someone who used them as a trade in a Kia...The car I bought was for my grandson who is a marine stationed at Quantico, VA It ran well when I took it for a test drive, so I'm figuring he put a heavier oil in it so I couldn't hear the lifters knocking, when I went to pick it up, it wouldn't even start and stopped on me 3 times before I got it home, I bought it the 18th of July and have had it at the shop twice, put it in the shop again Aug 1 2011, resulting in a $850.00 repair bill, finally got it to run well enough to take to VA, Sunday Aug 7th.
The person who this car was titled to was Amy Coleman of Bridgeport, WV, One of the other Ladies said her car was titled to a Don Anderson, I do not know his address at this time.
