If attorneys are exempt, I believe this is very good policy. I receive many phone calls from consumers who have been scammed by people offering to help them. I've taught on the subject and I have postings on the web warning about people who offer these services but don't deliver. However, having dealt with the banks on short sales (Bank of America is the worst), sometimes people need assistance and are willing to pay someone who can take the time to file the papers and spend the many hours on the phone that are necessary. Thank you for your attention to this important matter.
