UV light emitted from tanning devices produce Vit. D. Vit. D. is essential to good health. Metabolizing UV into Vit. D. is a natural process. Tanning salons provide a controled environment to get your Vit. D. Too much water will kill you, too much of anything is dangerous. Scaring people from getting adequate sunshine threatens the health of the public far more than the few people who choose to overexpose themselves to moderate levels of UV light. If you see statistics claiming a corellation between responsible UV light and skin cancer; please evaluate the source of the infomation. Sunshine is not a crime.
