Comments:We don't allow our children under the age of 18 to have tobacco or alchol, why would we allow a person under the age of 18 to be in a device that emitts mainly a light source that is UVA (that causes skin cancer and do Vitamin D) and a small amount of UVB light ( that does help with Vitamin D but ages us and also causes skin cancer. Where is the rational in the "need" for this business? We know in Dermatology that when we offer UVB or UVA light treatment for various skin conditions that we are increasing the patients risk of skin cancer. But we treat the patient according to skin type and the dose is very controlled. In the tanning booth there is no control for most uses and the users usually only wear the glasses and no cloths, so there is no untanned area. We in Dermatology in our light boxs, protect the face, genitalia and any skin that doesn't require treatment. No one under the age of 18 shoulg be allowed in the tanning booths.
