I am commenting on the false claims made by USA plastic bag companies that state their plastic bags are biodegradable because they add an oxo-additive in their resepective bags at between 1% to 3% loading. Please see the attached report from BPI that shows oxo-additives have dramatically changed their compostition over the past few years to where any real biodegradabily claim of plastic bags using oxo-additives comes into question without new reliable scientific evidence provided by each bag manufacturer using oxo-additives.
