Comments:I want to be a conscientious consumer who is fiscally responsible, but I don't know where to turn when I want to review my credit report. I know these ads are a scam and I don't fall for them, but because of all the misleading ads, I wouldn't know a legitimate ad if it bought me coffee! There must be rules and guidelines to keep companies from "stealing" from consumers. When they say a service is free and then charge for that service, that is FRAUD. It doesn't matter where in the ad they say, "Just kidding!" They should not be allowed to use the word FREE in their name or ad if they do not offer a no-strings free service. It is nearly impossible to work with these organizations once they have you. Consumers need protections. Please make the rules protect vulnerable consumers.
