Comments:I went on the "Free Credit Report " site in 2007 and followed instructions for a free credit report. The catch was apparently that if I did not uncheck a certain diificult to see box I would be charged 14.99 permonth from there on. They require a credit card under the pretences that it validates who you are. Shame on me two years later my wife asks me about a recurring charge on the American Express card and low and behold there it is "Free Credit Report.com". They refused to remove the charges and credit my card. They even had the wrong e-mail address and acknowledged that I had never used the service.
