Comments:I have made it a point for several years now to obtain my free credit report as often as the law provides here in Georgia. Originally, I would call in via the credit reporting company's toll free number which could take up to 15 minutes to go through all of their menu options. Eventually, I started ordering the report via the site, www.annualcreditreport.com. It, too, is difficult and time consuming. I am a college educated professional and am adept at using the computer for both work and leisure activities at home, but the site and the credit reporting companies make it a very complex and confusing process. Once I mistakenly chose an option which would have had me paying for the report. Luckily, I realized it before the transaction was complete, but, then, had to start all over. It's not intuitive and is much more difficult than it needs to be. Please remove all advertising and multiple options from the site for me and for all the others in the US who are trying to check and preserve our credit standing.
