|Agency:||Federal Trade Commission|
|Rule:||16 CFR Part 610 Amendments to Rule to Prevent Deceptive Marketing of Credit Reports and to Ensure Access to Free Annual File Disclosures|
Comments:I feel that if we are entitled to free credit reports every year, they ought to be free. The web sites should be clearly understood, there should be no advertising either before, during, or after applying and receiving the information. It's very hard to get this information, even if you try to call the credit reporting bureaus directly. Additionally, people trying to obtain information that they're legally entitled to get, should not be bombarded by advertising and hard to understand web sites and telephone interactive sites.
