Comments:
I urge the Federal Trade Commission to establish rules that would prohibit credit reporting agencies from putting hyperlinks to their own specific Websites on the free credit report Website. I find the links and the companies' advertising confusing. I had one experience in which I inadvertently "signed up" for a service I did not want and then had to go through the necessary hoops to cancel it. Indeed, I urge you to require the credit reporting agencies to remove all advertising and marketing by the credit bureau before, during, and even after the process of getting a free credit report. In short, I urge the FTC to make FreeCreditReport.com truly free.
