Comments:
I believe that advertising for credit bureau services should, at minimum, be restricted to being displayed after the credit bureau is shown to the customer. However, I think that the government-operated annualcreditreport.com should be free of advertisements to prevent any confusion when accessing the credit report. A simple mistake of clicking on these advertisements can lead to the enrollment in an ongoing charge to view a credit report that is provided free of charge.
