I was one of the people that was tricked into the freecreditreport.com trial and lost $20 because of it. The problem I have with the current system is that this is information which is vital to my day to day life and yet I have to pay someone if I want it more than once a year. That is like going to social security and having to pay to see your earnings. In the past it might have taken a great deal of work to generate a report, now with computers the website can pull up the report in seconds. Why are consumers being charged to look at their own information ?
