To the FTC: Thank you for proposing to reduce the deceptive advertising by the 3 credit reporting companies. I fully support your efforts. Last year, I wanted to get a "free" credit report and tried looking up the 3 different companies (I did not know that there was a centralized web site). It was very confusing and I couldn't find anything that was truly free, so I gave up. Now, I understand why. I have a BA from college and have worked in marketing, but I still couldn't figure out why something that was supposed to be "free", was not. I have good credit, too. We ALL need clarity about how to get these free reports, regardless of education, experience or whether our credit is good or bad. Thank you.
