Thanks to a newspaper article that clearly explained what I needed to do to get a free credit report, I was able to succeed this year. However, last year was a disaster - thanks to the commercial advertising. Not being terribly computer-literate, I thought I was obligated to go through all the steps to finally get my free report. So I ordered the "Credit Score" and "monitoring service," resulting in six separate charges to my credit card. As it turned out, I did not receive scores from all three agencies, and I didn't know how to get the monitoring information. THEREFORE, I think that all the advertising should be absolutely eliminated from this website - or, at least, presented after one has ordered/printed the free credit report. Thank you very much.
