Comments:Why is it so hard to find the free credit reports? You go to the site, then get hit by all sorts of advertisements for paid/fee products from the credit bureaus and other companies. Then, half the time, they make the free reports so totally confusing and hard to download and print that you give up. Why aren't the free reports on a commercial-free site where I can go in, give the information I need without worrying who I'm giving it to, without a gauntlet of commercials and confusing links that send me to more places that want to get my money? If this is for MY protection, protect me from the predatory credit bureaus! They already control my life, never correct their mistakes, even when I follow up in writing like I'm supposed to, and make it as difficult as possible to figure out their cryptic codes. I really like the way they show accounts closed, but then accurately report that I'm still charging on them. Or the time they listed me as having an account from 2 years before I was born, because they confused my mother's history with mine. Make it the "free" reports actually FREE. No commercials, no links to other products, with SIMPLE instructions and software that will run on older computers as well as newer systems without hanging up and trying to force me to buy a product.
