To whom it may concern,
This certainly disturbs me that I could potentially have my personal information floating around the world for whoever to steal and ruin me financially. I know mistakes happen but this is one that should have never even been a possibility! I certainly hope the person responsible is no longer sitting behind a desk with the ability to access customers information. Also, I am very disappointed that Franklin Toyota sent no notification to its customers, instead we find out in the newspaper about this issue. That was a bad move. Notice should have been given to anyone effected.
Secondly, What is it that Franklin Toyota will be doing to help protect their customers that were exposed? I propose that Franklin Toyota supply a credit check monthly or maybe every 3 or 6 months, for one or two years, so that we (the customer) can keep track of our credit reports to make sure no one is using our credit. Or maybe subscribe to something like Life Lock to help protect us. It would be nice if Franklin Toyota would supply their customers with all of the information that they have for each of us, so that if a credit card was used or if a check was used, we can take necessary steps with those companies to protect our accounts. If this means having a meeting with all 95000 people then so be it.
It is truly sad that we are even having this discussion but I trust that Franklin Toyota will do right by their customers and help protect us, since we are potential victims now. I certainly hope nothing happens to any of their customers but with the way things are now a days, something will happen to someone. I hope Franklin Toyota will take responsibility for this and make it right. Thank you!
