The food industry is no different than the "old dope peddlers," who first get their marks hooked on free drugs and then sell to them endlessly. They create lifelong bad-health habits when children are most susceptible to them, thereby harming our citizens for life.
In addition, our society must then pick up the tab for medical treatment that is caused by obesity, hugh costs that the food industry do not cover.
All this has got to stop, and I encourage the strongest food bill possible to get our kids off on the right foot.
