Submission Text
Please consider establishing advertising guidelines that would greatly limit unhealthy eating choices for children. At the present time there is too much emphasis on drinks loaded with sugar, fried foods, and foods of high fat and starch content. Ads should feature more nutritious drinks as well as more fruits and vegetables. A large percentage of the children in this country have health problems greatly related to their diets. The problems are such that commissions such as the FTC should be be concerned. The FTC should exercise its influence on bringing about positive change in the eating habits of our nation's youth by calling for more healthy items presented in food ads targeting children.
