To whom it may concern,
We all know the right thing to do. We need to eliminate direct marketing to all children less than 18 years old in regards to all hyperpalatable foods. As a bariatrician, internist, and mother I look forward to this legislation and hope it takes effect soon.
Healthy Kids of Jupiter is dedicated to decreasing the incidence of childhood obesity through awareness and outreach events. Without help from this legislation and other efforts we will be looking at an entire generation that will have a life expectancy shorter than our own.
We are all aware of the negative effects that the food industry's marketing efforts have had on our children, let's end this soon.
