I am opposed to the time span for receiving free credit reports. Even if the credit bureaus are inundated with requests , surely they could respond to most requests in 60-90 days rather than make consumers on the east coast wait for 17 months for a report. They seem to be able to respond in very short order to requests from banks, etc. Why not ordinary citizens?
