Overview: EXCELLENT! We need all the help we can, as consumers, to get anything we can to help us recognize and prevent ID Theft and also inaccuracies on our credit reports. It would be great to get a way to not only receive free Credit reports -- but also -- to correct them -- without all the cumbersome, frustrating, nearly impossible process that it takes now ot correc them. Detail: THE CRA'S MAKE it EXTREMELY difficult to (a) get through to them and (b) to correct changes once you do get through to them. They send the same standard complaint form back to you several times, over and over, with no adequate explanation of why they are resending it, and no phone number to reach anyone on. It is very impersonal, insensitive -- with no way to get an explanation -- after you have alrady complied. For example, after we had been married a year, one CRA had my wife's current and former last names and addresses backwards. married for a year, it was almost impossible to get through to the CRA's. We sent them a series of certified letters we sent documenting their error. Yet each time they asked for the same info again. Pretty frustrating. After two months, they finally fixed the flipping of the information.
