With the real possibility of identity theft a fact of life, it is vital that consumers be able to check their credit reports. Current advice is to check each of the three credit reporting organizations yearly at least. This can be a financial hardship as the fees have risen considerably for this service. I am heartily in favor of this proposed rule.
