My concern is that people will take my picture in public, where I expect to be able to blend into the crowd, and then upload them to a social networking site that I am not a member of. Once the pictures are uploaded, that social networking site will build a "shadow" profile for me and encourage people to fill in information about me. All of this beyond my control. The social networking site will have an excuse for this invasion of my privacy, saying that if I just join then they will let me make all of this information private. Thus, using a type of blackmail to force me to join their site.
Hopefully the FTC can understand how this is a very frustrating tactic on the part of the social networking site which amounts to blackmail.
