I totally disagree with the collection of a debt from a dead person's dependent, spouse or other parties. The person that created the debt is responsible for that debt and that should die when that person dies. Family members or other parties have no control over the spending or obligations that the deceased person created. In this time of financial crisis for many Americans, this policy is another example of government policies targeting (the bereaved)or the working person with debts they do not owe. If money is needed to repay loans or other debts, seek payment from the "Stimulas" fund that has provided reckless and irresponsible spending of taxpayer funds.
