Submission Text
Allowing debt collectors to contact a deceased family and basically imply that they should pay the debt is horrendous and amoral. We are at our most vulnerable when losing a family member and to allow disheartened and disconnected debt collectors to contact those family members grieving adds to the mistrust and an already broken debt collection system. If this law should go through then I will personally see that enough people hear about it and stage a massive protest. Who is protecting the consumer? Apparently, not the FTC. For shame.
