Im writing a to make a comment about time barred debts and debt collectors that call people that are like me, living on as a survivour with no family and no one to help me, My income is ssd, everyday im getting hang up calls from asset acceptance over a $200, 15 year old debt that has passed the statue of limitations 2 times over, now i understand about writing them a cease and desist letter to get them to stop harrassing me, but what is going to stop the next debt collector when he buys my old time barred debt, i have nerve disorders and i cant be stressed out, are junk debt collectors barred from calling if someone is on the do not call list? I have rights as a survivour and as a disabled person not to be harrassed by junk debt collectors, im trying to get well and so i do not need to be subjected to this form of abuse,.because this is my last chance at life.
