I am a member of CVS Caremark. This company is the worst insurance I've ever had. In November, I walked to the nearest CVS to get my annual flu shot. To my surprise, I was told that CVS Caremark did not cover flu shots and I would have to pay $27 if I wanted the shot! How in the world can an insurance company make one of their customers pay for preventive medicine? I live on a fixed income and had to walk back home because I could not afford to get the flu shot.
I was pre-authorized for my medication until November 2012. Because I received the letter saying this, I decided to stick with CVS Caremark. On December 10, 2012, a few days after the enrollment period ended, I received a letter from them stating that they had changed their formulary and anything that was pre-authorized would not be available. They gave me an alternative medicine which I must take everyday. The problem is I get an upset stomach every time I take it. If their was a way that I could change my insurance,I would do it ASAP! This company does not care about their customers at all.
