<hr><P><b>Comments:</b></p>The availability of a credit freeze on accounts has saved me several instances of ID theft. Criminals have tried to open accounts only to find that a voice authorization is required. They have been thwarted.


Additionally, my father has had a credit freeze on his account due to attempted fraud. Thankfully, his credit has been saved due to this safeguard being in place.


I know I speak for my immediate and extended family when we say that the availability of a credit freeze is a welcome and essential part of our active protection of our credit.
