Submission Text
It is imperative to update and strengthen privacy rules regulating Internet sites accessed by Children, including but not limited to 1) Facebook and other social media sites and 2) commercial sites that both attract and target children and teens. Children should not be prey to marketers who spy on their browsing habits and ply them with advertising, nor should they be lured to give information about themselves, or duped into thinking they can make personal statements safely on a website without possible consequences to their health, wellbeing or safety. We must protect children from predators of all kinds and privacy is the starting point.
