This company has flagrantly violated privacy of its users, compromised users personal and confidential information (PCI), and failed to live up to previous promises regarding privacy. I'm having trouble understanding why the remedy here is a consent decree in which the company makes another promise regarding user privacy. I am not knowledgeable about limitations on the FTC's ability to punish companies like this but hope this episode will initiate some further action beyond a consent decree. Compete has total disregard for it's users and cannot be trusted.
