Submission Text
As a dry cleaner for over 17 years people rely on the care labels provided. The dry cleaning industry relies on the care labels. There is great confusion about the proper care of clothes and fabrics. As a GreenEarth dry cleaner for over 10 years, the only non-petroleum related cleaning solvents are water and GreenEarth a silicone based solvent.
Care labels and care instructions need to be updated to show non-voc solvents, non-petroleum solvents.
The care label showing the circle with the P in it does not work any more for all dry cleaning. Distinction should be made for petroleum based dry cleaning solvents and non-petroleum solvents like silicone and water.
Thank you
