I sincerely believe that the idea of "supression lists" was ill-conceived. When I opt out of a particular sender's list, all I am expecting is that the sender will remove me from his list, and NOT sell, transfer to a third party, or otherwise continue to use my email address. I also expect that the sender will NOT continue to send me email, but use a different alias in an attempt to hide from me the fact that the sender has not removed my email address from his list. I don't expect to opt out of a certain product or vendor. That is absurd, and totally alien to the way the Internet works. Sincerely, Philip Calvert
