A. 2. Most business provide a link so people can stop receivng emails from us. Mant of us store a listing of those who made such requests. B.4. We communicate with our opt-in members about other things than just selling products or informatio. Make special otther, send questionairs. C.1. I am totaly against the current process as it will not effect the spamers, only hinder honest businesses. D.1. Mant business di Joint Ventures. they send out emails about another persona business to their opt-in list. E.2. Those who receive our emails have requested to be on our opt-in list This is not spam or bulk emailing. They requested to hear from us. To the Commisioners: I too am sick of thid\s plague of bulk emais from spamers. I believe, however, that as it now stands your process of how we have to go through several steps with each email, the suppresion listing, will destroy our businesses. This will cause many proplems and prove costly to us. We will lose money and customers who expect to receive our emails and newsletters. I am concerned that many of us honest businesses will be unable to deliver reports, articles, newsletters, and emaol books. If many of us cease doing business on the Internet we will lose most of our profits and so will the Federal and State Goverments as they will receive less money from taxes. Wjy are so many states using lotteries, horse racing, slots and casions. They need this to make money, to stay afloat. Don;t destroy this great nation, Carefully, through due diligence, restucture the spam act. I suggest you require all servers who send emails to the USA to be like Earthlink.Net. They provide the individual to chosse what is spam. Rather than show up in the email inbox, the spam shows up in Known Spam box. One can quickly review the sender and subject and delete the spam. And on a rare occasion a good email may show up there. You just open it and click on This Is Not Spam an it goes back to the inbox. About 95 % of the spam shows up in the Knowm Spam box. This is due to the fact thatit only holds 500 spam emails. But since most of them are from bulk emailers I can quickly get rid of them. Restucture the program to punish only the bulk email spamers. Also educate the public to not open and email if they do not know the sender, or don't like the subject. Aso; don't try and send them a message to withdraw your email address. That only confirms that you got their email. Why not work with the Federal Goverment's program where a small group, including some FBI agents are tracking down those who send spam.
