I think the supression list regulations would hurt honest business people and not stop those who are sending unsolicited mail. My main concern is that the regulation will prevent businesses from sending commercial email to those who have opted in to receive it, such as by subscribing to a newsletter, or by requesting information by autoresponder, or requesting it from a website, or who have otherwise asked for email correspondence from the business.
