I do not agree with an implementation of the Do not E-mail registry because there would be otherwise a lot of free offers that I would have missed if such registry would be operating. The effectiveness and enforcement of the CAN Spam act I think the same applies. I would not be able to receive free offers from companies that give me free stuff. I also want to receive e-mails from web sites that I have given permission to send me information to keep me inform of the new products or offers they have. How would they do that otherwise? I think that this is a free country and it is up to me if I accept, read and respond to the e-mails that I receive. Let me choose whatever I want to do.
